I can remember when I first met Steve back in the 90's at Bowers Ambulance. Believe or not Steve was a little shy at first, but once he go to know you it was different.
We had a lot of fun and not so fun calls, I believe we worked on a CCT Unit Peds Unit because he cared for his patients and kids we transported. As time went on I was promoted in to the office and eventually became his Supervisor.
When we first connected on Facebook this is what he told me.
"looked you up on facebook to tell you "I finally get it, i finally get what you were trying to tell me everytime you called me to your office" i am truly sorry for being a pain in your ass and everyone else who was trying to help, not hurt me!!! Thank you when I regress I think of some of the things you use to try to get me to understand."
This touch me a lot and I am thankful for his words. I'm sorry he is gone and may the lord bless your family during this difficult time brother. All the guys are saddened to here about you and miss you too. RIP Brother...
JR Ramirez.
